Relationship Status
Director/Writer: Khairil M. Bahar
90 minutes; Multi-lingual
Relationship Status tells the story of a number of KL-ites from different walks of life whose relationships are created, changed and sometimes even ruined by social networking and the way we communicate in this day and age. Some may make you laugh whilst some may make you cry. What is for certain, though, is that all will ring true. In most if not all, are based on actual events that had or could have happened in this day and age with the popularity of social networking sites.
Just like Malaysia, the country in which these stories take place, the Relationship Status is multi-ethnic and multi-lingual. Some speak English, some in Malay and others in Hokkien. Featuring people from different age groups: from students in puppy love and young professionals in blossoming relationships to the married and even widowed. But regardless of how different these characters are, their relationships are directly influenced by social networks; some for better, others for worse.
Starring Gavin Yap, Davina Goh, Tony Eusoff, Daphne Iking, Baki Zainal, Ruzana Ibrahim, Alfred Loh, Shuba Jay, Benji Lim, Amanda Ang, Adeline Ong, Pete Teo, Susan Lankester and Will Quah
